„Identifying and Meeting Teachers’ Professional Needs – Contemporary Discourses"

The aim of the conference is a multi-faceted presentation of research results, as well as an exchange of reflections and experiences regarding the professional needs of teachers in various European countries.

 What do contemporary teachers expect?

Which of these needs are the most important? What is their level of satisfaction?

Where are the areas of satisfaction and frustration of contemporary teachers?

What can the deprivation of professional needs lead to and how can its negative effects be prevented?

 These and many other questions regarding teachers’ needs became the inspiration for organization of a conference whose thematic areas will focus on the following issues from a Polish and international perspective:

1. Education for the teaching profession – formal and informal education, modern trends, the relationship between theory and practice, competences for the future
2. Experiencing the teaching profession – personal and professional aspects
3. The reality of the teaching profession – professional needs of teachers and their satisfaction, working conditions
4. Well-being of teachers and students – emotional needs, socio-emotional learning, stress, burnout
5. Ethics in the teaching profession – professional ethics, children's rights
6. Relationships in the teaching profession – school culture, relationships in teaching teams, principal-teacher, teacher-student relationships, cooperation with parents
7. Digital technologies in teacher’s work - benefits, costs, threats
8. Visions of tomorrow in the teaching profession – the idea of sustainable development in education, the teacher of the future
9. Space for a teacher – a pedagogical environment supporting students in the learning process, educational diversity, social inclusion
10. Development in the teaching profession – lifelong learning, learning in the workplace, tutoring, mentoring, teachers' networks cooperation
11. Inspirations in the teaching profession – innovations and grassroots educational initiatives.
12. Societal perceptions of the teaching profession - status and prestige, motivations for choosing the profession

As part of the conference, we also invite you to participate in  workshops and “Living Library” meetings.

The cost of participation in the conference is 70 €  (no accommodation or transport provided).

The fee for teachers and PhD students is 25 € 

Gala dinner is available for an extra 40 €
